No Man’s Sky has a massive exploit that lets users farm the game’s rarest and most useful item, the Atlas Stone.
The method, which is detailed below, allows people to nab valuable resources like the Atlas Stones again and again. Due to the resource-driven nature of the game, this exploit is allowing users to create enough high-level items that the mysterious No Man’s Sky ending quickly comes into view. Since this method of cutting short to the ending is reminiscent of how early players reached the game’s ending in record time before it was patched out, expect a patch to come a block this exploit too.
But for now, if you want to farm rare items to make a ton of progress quickly, try this.
Upon death in your ship, No Man’s Sky allows you to claim back your ship’s inventory from your grave marker. But by reloading a previous save you can get your inventory back plus access to the grave as well, doubling whatever you had at the time.
The items you want to duplicate need to be in the ship’s inventory and you’ll need free slots to pick them up, but it’s an easy way to turn your 5 Atlas Stones into 10 Atlas Stones.
