Arnold Schwarzenegger Stars in New Mobile Strike Ad

From the world’s greatest bodybuilder to the world’s biggest action star to Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger has had an amazing life and an incredible career. But everything he’s accomplished in the past can’t even compare to his latest and greatest effort: starring in a new commercial for Mobile Strike, a strategy MMO game available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Check Arnold Schwarzenegger in the new ad for Mobile Strike below.

Published under Machine Zone’s Epic War studio name, Mobile Strike currently ranks at 23rd in top downloads on the app stores, according to market researcher App Annie. It is 46th on the top-grossing list. Not bad considering Machine Zone is only now starting to advertise Mobile Strike.

Mobile Strike is essentially a carbon copy of Machine Zone’s other hugely popular mobile game Game of War. Gameplay, monetization and alliance combat are all the same. The only real differences is that Mobile Strike has a modern-combat setting and its celebrity spokesperson fits nicely with the subject matter. Maybe I’m the only one that thinks so but Arnold Schwarzenegger promoting a war game makes a hell of a lot more sense than Kate Upton and Mariah Carey promoting a fantasy-strategy MMO. Or maybe Kate Upton and Mariah Carey work as spokeswomen for fantasy mobile games because we fantasize about them…See what I did there?

As far as mobile games go, Mobile Strike really isn’t anything special. The best thing it has going for it is that it has The Terminator as a marketing tool. But hey, if you want to play a perfectly serviceable if uninspired contemporary combat, real time strategy MMO, why not try Mobile Strike? It’s free. I know it’s not for me but you might like it.
