Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered DLC Released

4 familiar maps have been added

History repeats itself as the Variety Map Pack releases for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on Xbox One and PC.

The DLC includes four classic maps: Killhouse, Creek, Broadcast, and Chinatown, all of which first featured in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. As with the other maps in the Remastered edition, the graphics will be updated from the 2008 original, but will remain relatively intact in all other aspects.

At £11.59 ($14.99) players will have access to all four multiplayer maps, as well as ten Rare Supply Drops for Operation Lion Strike, items which would otherwise take a lot of time to unlock or cost actual money.

Here are the map descriptions for those who need their memories jogging.

Based on the TV station from the campaign mission “Charlie Don’t Surf”, this map provides a unique blend of confined corridors and wide-open spaces. Outside the station, the parking lot contains long sightlines, but once inside, cramped hallways and a computer-cluttered broadcast room provide ample close-range combat opportunities.

Set in a foggy downtown district, this nighttime map is lit up by flickering neon signs and a full moon. A re-imagining of the original Call of Duty multiplayer map “Carentan”, players will need to be careful on these streets, as almost every building in the map can be occupied, providing perfect cover for enemies waiting for a chance to line you up in their sights.

Set in a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death, a gaping ravine divides this map into two. Open clearings with sheer cliff faces and ample forested cover make this map ideal for snipers and long-range firefights.

A small training warehouse filled with various building mock ups that feature soft and hard cover points. Expect fast-paced and fierce firefights for maximum close-quarters chaos.

PlayStation 4 owners had access to the maps earlier on this year as part of a timed exclusivity deal between Sony and Activision. The game’s second DLC, Continuum, released on the system earlier this week.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered comes packaged with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with no word yet as to whether or not it will be sold separately at some point in the future.
