The Evil Within 2 will release on October 13th 2017, Friday the 13th, confirming rumours stemming from Bethesda’s carnival invite.
Bethesda previously released a leaflet-like invite to a festival, showing all of their main titles except for two under construction. One of those is now confirmed as the latest Shinji Mikami – the man behind Resident Evil – game.
The second instalment will again follow Sebastian Castellanos, protagonist of the first game, but this time as he searches for his missing daughter. To find her, he has to venture through a nightmarish world with horrific enemies, much like the original.
Keeping to its survival horror roots, in The Evil Within 2 players have the option to play stealthily or use their limited weaponry, though, of course, the game will favour the former approach. Either way, it looks like a terrifying experience.

The Evil Within 2 will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
