Racing in GTA is greater than ever thanks to the latest update. It’s no surprise, given the update was titled Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit. 20 new stunt races have been added to the game and specifically revolve around three cars: Rocket Voltic, Ruiner 2000, and Blazer Aqua.
The races are unique, to say the least. Some take place in the sky and require your vehicle to be equipped with a parachute. In others, you jet through the water. No matter what race, they’re all over-the-top and absolutely bonkers: which is completely fitting for the GTA universe.
New vehicle added: It’s so shiny
The stunning Progen GP1 also joins the lineup of vehicles available in the update. Players can purchase it from Legendary Motorsport. We’re sure GTA enthusiasts will be taking this one out for a spin the second they can get their controller-hands on it.
Before the update, there was a selection of cars available only after completing a heist. This has been removed and the cars are available even without shooting up any banks. Additionally, four previous cars (the Rhino, Buzzard, Dubsta 6×6 and Annihilator) no longer require players to be a certain rank before purchasing them.
Also new to the game is the addition of Premium Races. Each Premium Race is themed around a special-class vehicle. The top three finalists in each race will receive GTA cash rewards. Everyone else earns triple RP.
The future of GTA updates: Giving you the power
Perhaps one of the most interesting pieces of news to come out of Rockstar wasn’t the update itself, but the promise of what’s to come. Sometime in the near future, players will be able to create their own racing course for Special vehicles. Creator items such as race props will also be available.
Top Down and Resurrection mods are also slated as upcoming additions to the game.
