Harambe Lives in “Harambe vs. Capcom”

On May 28th, 2016, a three-year-old boy climbed into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden and was grabbed and dragged by Harambe, a 17-year-old gorilla. Fearing for the boy’s life, a zoo worker shot and killed Harambe. And though the noble Western lowland gorilla died on that fateful day, he lives on in all our hearts thanks to countless memes.

But what if Harambe didn’t die? What if there was a shadow agency that wanted to kill Harambe because he has psychic powers? What if he faked his death to buy himself more time to find Ryu in order to get out of that bind?

This is what the bizarre new fighting game by Otaku Gang Harambe vs. Capcom posits. In the game, that you can play for free by clicking here, players must guide the gorilla through a series of fights with Capcom’s iconic characters so that he can uncover the truth behind his assassination attempt.
