Hi-Rez Studios, creators of the only MOBA fit for the Gods SMITE, have released their first mobile game, Jetpack Fighter, in all English-speaking territories worldwide.
The new mobile game features “intuitive swipe-to-attack action controls” that lets players blaze a path of destruction through dozens of unique levels in order to rid a futuristic world of evil robots and big bad bosses. Players collect and unlock new fighters and weapons in their quest to defeat the evil robots that have overrun Mega City. After beating every minion and boss on each chosen mission, players can return to collect more loot, or compete against other players in time trials and endless mode gameplay. The game is free-to-play.
Hi-Rez has big plans for their new mobile game. They are hoping to position and support Jetpack Fighter to pioneer eSports in the mobile games space. More details on the Jetpack Fighter’s eSports initiative are slated for later this year, but it’s good to know now because it gives us plenty of time to get good at the game now before big eSports purses are announced.
Fans of SMITE will be also pleased to know that the goddess Nemesis has made her way into Hi-Rez’s new title. Players can unlock Nemesis for free in Jetpack Fighter by linking their Jetpack Fighter account to a Hi-Rez account. Also, when players unlock the character Leona in Jetpack Fighter, they will also receive a free code to unlock a Leona-themed skin for Nemesis in SMITE. In essence, Leona and Nemesis have teamed up to not only dominate the Battleground of the Gods, but also to wreak vengeance on the menacing machines of Mega City.
