Call of Duty: WW2 is getting new weapons and game modes according to a recently leaked video on YouTube. The original video has been pulled, but it did reveal some interesting new content coming to the game in the future.
Although the video is frequently being removed and re-uploaded from YouTube and Reddit, you can currently view the video by clicking here.
First, the video included a sneak peek of two new weapons, the Gewehr 43 and Sten. These weapons were used by the German and British forces, respectively, so it’s awesome to see we’ll be getting more guns that were used during the war.
When it comes to game modes some classics make a return. Gun Game, the mode that’s been in the previous Call of Duty games, will be heading to Call of Duty: WW2 sometime. Players start off with just a pistol with the objective of being the first player to earn a kill with each weapon, with each kill rotating you on to the next gun. The other modes being added to the game are Lockdown, Infected, and Control.
In terms of a potential release date, there hasn’t been any confirmation of when all this new content will be released. The leaked video also didn’t reveal any details on how this content would be released. Whether the new content would be released through paid or free DLC, Supply Drops, or simply added for free to the game is still a mystery. For now, we’ll just have to wait for any official word from the game’s developer Sledgehammer or Activision.
