Hakam Karim, the man who recently earned his 1,200th Platinum trophy, has since told Eurogamer in an interview that “there is no recognition” of his achievement from Sony.
In order to be rewarded with a Platinum trophy on PlayStation Network, players have to earn every other trophy that the game offers. It’s no surprise, then, that reaching 1,200 took an immense amount of work and dedication, and it’s a point that only one other player, roughdawg4, has reached. Only a few more have managed over 1,000 trophies, emphasising the size of Karim’s achievement.
He reached the 1,200 milestone after earning all trophies in Nioh, the video of which you can watch below.
However, despite playing through in excess of 1,200 PlayStation games, many of which were expensive imports, Sony hasn’t recognised the feat. “Sony treated me like a wall” he told Eurogamer, before revealing his disappointment at how the gaming giant “doesn’t show love towards its most loyal customer”.
On the other side of the console war, Microsoft has thrown public praise at the Xbox GamerScore leader Scallion83, even interviewing him on the official Xbox news page. Stallion83, or Raymond Cox when the controller is down, achieved an unthinkable score of 1,000,000. The fact that Karim performed similarly amazing feats on PlayStation consoles surely deserves recognition also.
