PlayStation Weekly News Roundup – Mar. 31 2017

Expansion packs, reveals, and charts, everything you need to know

Unless you were living under a rock this week, there’s been some exciting news for PlayStation fans to chew their teeth on. Here is what PS4 fans were talking about between Mar 24. and Mar 31 2017. If we forgot something you thought was newsworthy, let us know in the comments.

1. Battlefield 1 – They Shall Not Pass DLC Released

They Shall Not Pass, the first expansion pack for Battlefield 1, launched this week, after two weeks of being in its beta stage. The content available for owners includes the French army as a playable faction, a new Frontlines game mode, two new Operations, ten more ranks, plus many more features. New maps based in France are named Verdun Heights, Fort de Vaux, Soisson, and Rupture, whilst twelve new weapons and three vehicles are also included. The maps will be playable to non-owners of the expansion, through Premium Friends.

2. Dark Souls 3 – The Ringed City DLC

Prepare to die even more, in The Ringed City, the last expansion for Dark Souls 3. FromSoftware have stated since the release that they believe this will be the last we see of the Dark Souls series; if so, it’s a fitting end to one of the most wonderfully challenging and deeply engrossing video game series’ of all time. The Ringed City acts as a short but sweet send-off. How we’ll miss the pain.

3. Destiny 2 Revealed

Confirming the leaked images released earlier on in the week, Bungie confirmed Destiny 2 is in development. The trailer looks magnificent, and the game can hopefully pick up from where the original has left off – in style. The other news was that PlayStation owners are in luck, as Sony have struck a deal for exclusive content. Destiny 2 is set for release in September time.
