The PS4 5.0 beta has received a new update after many users were experiencing issues. Particularly, many users in the beta were denied access to the 5.0 update after accidentally downloading update 4.74.
The 4.74 update was released earlier this month for the PS4 and was a simple patch to fix back end issues. However, the update caused an uproar among some users who were taking part in the 5.0 beta. After mistakenly downloading the 4.74 update, these 5.0 testers were kicked out of the beta and denied access to re-enter.
It’s understandable most users upgraded to the 4.74 update. Most of us instantly download every new update Sony rolls out without batting an eye. The good news is that Sony’s new update now allows access to users previously enrolled in the 5.0 beta.
The 5.0 beta is a preview of what’s next to come for the PS4, with the finished product adding many new features such as PS4 Pro Twitch streaming at 60fps/1080p and a new account management system.
Were you affected by the 4.74 update? Are you taking part in the 5.0 beta? Let us know in the comments.
