Sean Bean, Aaron Paul to Star in Final Fantasy 15 CGI Movie

After nearly a decade of tumultuous development, Final Fantasy XV has a worldwide release date for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: September 30, 2016. But there’s more to Final Fantasy 15 than just a game…

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15 was revealed last night at Square Enix’s Uncovered: Final Fantasy 15 event in Los Angeles and it looks pretty neat.

The CGI movie due to release sometime this Fall will act as a companion film to the RPG and its already boasting an impressive voice cast including Lord of the Rings’ Sean Bean as King Regis, Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul as Kingsglaive soldier Nyx and Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey as Princess Luna.

Last night also saw the announcement of a five-episode anime series, Final Fantasy 15: Brotherhood.

See clips from both below:

Thankfully, this CGI Final Fantasy movie appears to veer more towards Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. But then again, it could be another Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. Yuck…

At least the anime is pretty good. Watch the first episode below.

What do you think of Final Fantasy 15’s anime series and CGI movie? Too much? Not enough? Let us know in the comments.
