If you have any doubts about Star Citizen, Cloud Imperium’s upcoming, star-studded, space simulator, you can try Star Citizen for free this week, until February 5th.
According to the announcement, this “Free Fly” event grants players access to Star Citizen Alpha 2.1.2, Arena Commander mode and the Social Module free of charge.
In the latest 2.1.2 update to the Alpha, you’ll be able to find “multiple space stations and environments, scripted missions, places to explore, and more.” As for Arena Commander mode, you’ll take on human opponents or an AI blitz in a single seat fighter. And finally, in the Social Module you’ll be interacting with other players as you explore the game’s first landing zone, ArcCorp.
Free Fly accounts will have access to the Hornet F7C military fighter, the Aurora LN starter, and the Mustang Delta interceptor. All you have to do is register.
But before you register for Star Citizen’s Free Fly, check out the Alpha gameplay trailer from last month.
Star Citizen has over a million backers and has raised over $100 million. If you think that’s impressive, I’ll remind you that the game’s cast features the acting talents of Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson and many more.
So what do you say? Are you ready to try Star Citizen for free? If so, register for the Free Fly here.
