Star Trek Online Season 11 Now Live

Thanks to the rejuvenation of Star Trek on the big screen, Star Trek is coming back to TV. The show will premiere in January 2017 on CBS. The official press release said: “The brand-new ‘Star Trek’ will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.”

Great news for Star Trek fans! But how will Trekkies pass the time while their beloved space-diplomacy series prepares its grand return to the television medium? Easy: Star Trek Online and its new seasons New Dawn.

What can Star Trek Online players expect from the latest season besides more fun space exploration and epic spaceship fights? The epic conclusion of the five-year Iconian War story arc.

New Dawn will rise out of the grim wartime tale to introduce an all-new story focused on rebuilding and hope. A previously unknown civilization is ready to be uncovered as are the mysteries of a strange traveler from another time. Fans can also expect to see the return of Chase Masterson reprising her role as Mirror Leeta from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Along with new lore and story progression in Season 11, Star Trek Online will also receive new gameplay options in the form of the Admiralty System. The new Admiralty System will allow players to take command of their inactive starships to complete dangerous assignments and gather exciting rewards, while advancing their influence in the Admiralty campaigns. Within this system, each starship is given special traits and stats that must be used to successfully complete assignments. Plan carefully which ships are sent on which assignment in order to meet their requirements and offset hazards, in an effort to yield great rewards across any of three separate campaigns.
