There is only one way to describe Platinum’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan…COWABUNGA!
Yesterday, when Platinum Games announced that there would be an “official leak” of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game Mutants in Manhattan, we were incensed. Perhaps they were making a veiled reference to mysterious ooze leaking into New York City sewers, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that there is no such thing as an “official leak”.
Semantics aside, cooler heads have now prevailed! And it’s all thanks to the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game looking as awesome as possible.
From Platinum, the studio responsible for Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, the latest Transformers game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is due out this summer on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Get a first look at the gameplay below.
So far, what we like most about the game is: four-player online co-op, story penned by IDW Comic’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle author Tom Waltz, cool cel-shading graphics, Platinum’s world-famous combat mechanics, doesn’t appear to be as frustrating as Turtles in Time, puts the new Michael Bay directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies to shame.
What we don’t like: no Casey Jones, no Brooklyn?
Those two nit-picky, tongue-in-cheek complaints about the game should not deter you from being excited about this game.
