2017 is almost over and what a year it’s been. Some of the most popular and successful games were released this year with titles such as Super Mario Odyssey and Destiny 2. This past E3 conference revealed the lineup of games we can look forward to seeing next year, and we can’t wait to finally get our hands on them. Here’s a countdown of the most anticipated games coming out in 2018.
12. Monster Hunter: World (PS4, Xbox One)
Hunting ferocious monsters with your friends? Who wouldn’t be excited for this game to come out! The fifth primary game in the Monster Hunter series will have all the same gameplay mechanics and features as the previous titles, but the game has a more open-world setting. There won’t be loading screens between zones, so players will experience a very different game than previous Monster Hunter games. One of the newest features the game will have will be allowing players around the world to play together in four-player co-op. The game will be released January 26, 2018. Get ready to go monster hunting!
11. God of War (2018) (PS4)
This upcoming game is a soft reboot for the God of War series. God of War (2018) takes place years after God of War 3, and players get to continue Krato’s adventures, but this time in the land of Norse mythology. The game will have the same button timed-abilities, but will also introduce a new gameplay mechanic. Kratos’s son Atreus will aid you in combat, and you’ll get to passively control him with commands. Other new features include crafting materials and leveling up similar to role playing games. One thing we can expect is some bloody hack-and-slash combat. God of War (2018) is expected to come out sometime next year.
