E3 is by far the biggest weekend on the calendar for video game developers, critics, and fans, offering them all and opportunity to either showcase or test out some of the biggest soon-to-be released games. Whilst there are certain to be many surprise inclusions at the expo, there are some games that would so obviously be showing up that the developers and publishers have announced them already. Here are eleven of some of the biggest titles confirmed at E3 so far.
Nintendo’s new IP promises to make the most of the joy-con’s motion control capabilities, as up to four players battle it out as different characters with extendable arms. The company should reveal more about the gameplay next month, but if what critics are saying is anything to go by, ARMS is one to be excited about.
Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar Expansion (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
They Shall Not Pass released several months ago to critical acclaim, adding an array of new weaponry, maps, and even game modes to an already-established game. In the Name of the Tsar will send players to the freezing front line of Russia, and will so far add another four maps and increased armoury to choose from.
Call of Duty: WW2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Just like a new Call of Duty will release in November, it’s inevitable that Activison’s biggest franchise will be shown at E3. We’ve been shown the first trailer and understand a few details about the campaign and multiplayer, but some key features should be revealed at E3: just what will Headquarters be, for example, and will jet packs make a much-wanted return?
