The 25 Most Anticipated PS4 Games for 2017

Too many games, not enough money

It’s been a great year for PlayStation 4 owners so far, with games like Resident Evil VII, Nioh and Horizon: Zero Dawn having been released on the system. Remember though, it’s still only March, and that means there are plenty of games to spend more of your money on over the coming months. At GameAddik, we’ve compiled a list of 25 games that are due to come out in 2017. It’s going to be a good year for gaming.

25. Mass Effect: Andromeda

Release Date: Mar. 21st

A recent 10 hour trial on EA access gave players their first glimpse of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s sprawling world; for some, it disappointed. The slow, buggy first few hours seemed uninspiring, but then again they would in a series which is based mainly on building a drawn out series through NPC interaction. If its predecessors are anything to go by, Andromeda will take anywhere up to and above 100 hours to complete, and could be another must-have in the sci-fi RPG franchise.

24. Persona 5

Release Date: Apr. 4

Non-Japanese nationals have had to wait an extra 8 months for Persona 5. Add to that the ten years it’s been in production, and that’s a lot of clock-checking; it looks like it’s been worth it, though. The sixth instalment in the series received a near-perfect 39/40 from Famitsu, one of the most highly regarded Japanese video game publications. The story focuses on a group of young vigilantes, on a mission to steal ill-intent from adults, using their supernatural powers.

23. Yooka-Laylee

Release Date: Apr. 11

In 2015 the geniuses behind some of Rare’s greatest N64 titles, most notably Banjo-Kazooie, initiated a successful Kickstarter campaign to make a game in a similar vein. Yooka-Laylee was the result, and instead of a 3D platform centring on a bear and a bird, this game focuses on a chameleon and bat, as they adventure through their bright, exuberant world. It looks to be a nostalgia kick for fans of 90’s 3D platformers, as well as a chance for those who missed the classics to catch up.
